We officially kicked off the start to Dragon Dash! Beyond a fundraiser, Dragon Dash is an event that promotes positive physical activities and a healthy lifestyle. Our Dragon Dash Committee has been hard at work all summer to make this the best Dragon Dash yet. As you may have guessed, our theme this year is Travel the World! On October 24th, OUES students will participate in a fun, travel-themed obstacle course activity with TexanFit to celebrate their hard work. Thank you to all those who became Family and Corporate Sponsors!
Our Old Union students are about to begin their Dragon Dash Journey Program. All students are invited to ask for sponsorship commitments from family and friends to collect funds for their school. The student that raises the most money for Old Union will win a two-night trip for their family to the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort.
Why are the kids raising money and where will it go?
We want our Dragons to take ownership of fundraising for their school and feel proud of their contributions. Winning cool prizes is just a bonus! This year we are challenging the students to raise $60,000! If they reach their goal, we will let the students vote on a fun new improvement for their campus—new playground equipment? Innovative STEM technology? More turf? The choices are endless.
How will pledges be tracked?
Students will be able to track donations in real time via BetterWorld. If family and friends need to donate to your Dragon by cash or check, please submit it electronically on their behalf! Click here to register your child for BetterWorld is included in this packet. When does the pledge drive end?
